Grand Theft Auto VI is Rockstar Games' return to Vice City, now rebuilt as part of the fictional state of Leonida — a modern take on Florida spanning a neon-soaked city, swamps, small towns, and coastline.
The story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a romantic criminal duo whose Bonnie-and-Clyde-style partnership drives the campaign, marking the first time the mainline series has put two protagonists at the center of one shared story from the start.
It's the first mainline Grand Theft Auto release in over a decade, following 2013's Grand Theft Auto V, and arrives after years of leaks, trailers, and delays that made it one of the most closely tracked launches in gaming history.
Rockstar has previewed the game through a series of trailers, including an extended gameplay look, showing a denser, more reactive open world than previous entries, with an emphasis on NPC behavior, weather, and environmental detail.
The game is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Rockstar not yet confirming a PC release window at launch — a pattern consistent with past mainline GTA titles, which historically arrived on PC after consoles.
